Trump’s endorsement remains strong.

Trump-endorsed Lindsey Graham won the GOP primary in South Carolina.

The Hill reported:

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) is projected to win South Carolina’s GOP Senate primary, avoiding a runoff in a crowded field of candidates, according to Decision Desk HQ.

The victory marks a win for President Trump, who endorsed Graham and joined a tele-rally with the four-term senator Monday evening.

Graham defeated Republican challenger Mark Lynch, an appliance repair executive, who campaigned on the need for new leadership and attacked the senator’s foreign policy record.

“If you think President Trump’s done a good job, I do too. He’s endorsed me, not my opponents, but me,” he continued. “If you want somebody to go to Washington that can help him, I’m your best choice. If you want somebody to go back to Washington who understands the world, the opportunities and dangers it presents to us as a state and nation, I’m your best choice.”

Trump endorsed Graham, saying, “Lindsey has been a wonderful friend to me, and has always been there when I needed him.”

Fox News reported:

President Donald Trump endorsed Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., describing the lawmaker as “a wonderful friend.”

“Senator Lindsey Graham is working incredibly hard for the Great People of South Carolina, a State I love and WON BIG in 2016, 2020, and 2024!” Trump declared in a Truth Social post on Wednesday night.

“Lindsey has been a wonderful friend to me, and has always been there when I needed him. As the Chair of the Senate Budget Committee, Lindsey is fighting tirelessly to Grow the Economy, Lower Taxes, and Eliminate Government Waste. Lindsey is also relentlessly focused on helping us Secure the Border, Stop Migrant Crime, Strongly Support our Great Military/Vets, Promote American Energy DOMINANCE, Defend our always under siege Second Amendment, and ensure PEACE THROUGH STRENGTH,” he continued.

“Senator Lindsey Graham has my Complete and Total Endorsement for Re-Election — HE WILL NOT LET YOU DOWN. Everyone in South Carolina should help Lindsey have a BIG WIN next year!”

Trump scored another victory in South Carolina in the primary race for Governor.

Trump endorsed Lt. Gov. Pamela Evette is headed to a runoff, getting 29% of the vote. The second-place vote getter got 26%.

New York Post reported:

Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) conceded the South Carolina Republican gubernatorial primary race Tuesday less than two hours after polls closed, as returns showed the firebrand congresswoman trailing Trump-backed Lt. Gov. Pamela Evette by double digits.

“This isn’t the end of the fight, but it is the end of a chapter,” Mace said in her concession speech, during which she endorsed state Attorney General Alan Wilson in a runoff race against Evette.

Mace was garnering only 11.3% of the vote — putting her in fifth place in the GOP field — when she admitted defeat.

Meanwhile, Evette held about 29% of the vote, while Wilson was receiving roughly 26% — both advancing to a runoff election.

Other Trump-backed candidates also won.
